Learn how to make a fancy hat. This one is so cute with its scalloped edge. In this brand new class you will learn how to make a lacey edge and then pick up stitches. You will also perfect the front and back increase. This is a two part class starting May 17th. from 1-3. Class fee is 20.00 for each two-hour session. Lorena will teach in the laid-back wicker world of my office. Call to reserve a place. Must have basic knitting skills, we’d love to see you.

This is a great class to learn beading with the new 2-hole beads. The kit includes all beads, beading thread, needles and clasp. Instructions for the bracelet are very thorough with lots of graphics to help the student.

On Friday May 1st. through Sunday May3rd, Bemus will come to life with our annual kick-off event, Bemus is in Bloom. We will have our Petting Zoo and other activities. Get a peek at what’s new in the more than one dozen stores in the village. Each shop is distinctive and the passionate owners have been gathering goodies from all over the country to bring to Bemus. While Skillman’s opened the last weekend in February and GG My Love and Imagine! opened in April, the rest of the shops will start to come alive in May and June. Follow the yellow, blue and green balloons to find the stores that are anxious to welcome you in May.
Ever wonder what goes on in Bemus during the off season? Well, for one, its 13 degress this morning. There are snowmobiles and ice fishermen on the lake. Last weekend, a father and his son were para-sailing across the ice. At Imagine! we are sprucing up the place. And we are shopping. Our most fun trip is to the Buyers Market of American Crafts where we explored 800 booths of stunning artisan crafted US and Canadian work.We found great stuff from 21 of our favorite artists and we added 10 new ones. We are off to more markets and will keep you posted. Can’t wait to show you all the goodies in May.
